Saturday saw 293 students descend upon Madison Meadows Middle school for the Tsunami Scholastic Chess Tournament. 22 of which were my students. In Kindergarten Section I had the awesome Sts Simon and Jude player of Alex Feix entering his first tournament and scoring 1. Jordan Hidalgo ended up in a 5-way tie for first place and took the second place trophy home on tie breaks! Allison was able to take home the 20th place trophy for herself.
